01 What makes it unique
The Jay Flight 200MKSW is the 11th-lightest of the 30 MY2027 floorplans Jayco publishes for the line, with 10 plans below it and 19 above. Its 4,840 lbs dry and 6,500 lbs GVWR leave 1,660 lbs of cargo capacity — 26% of the loaded rating, which is the figure that actually decides what you can put in it.
Fresh water is the load most owners forget to count. The 76 gallon fresh tank weighs about 634 lbs full, which is 38% of this plan's 1,660 lbs of cargo capacity before a single bag goes in. Grey and black hold 40 and 40 gallons. Travelling with full fresh and empty waste tanks is the arrangement that leaves the most room for everything else.
The 200MKSW carries the line's compact equipment tier — 8 cu ft refrigerator and 8,000 btu wall-mount a/c. It runs two axles. Jayco's own factory page for this floorplan settles that; the aggregator spec block reports one axle for it, which the factory contradicts. Where the two disagree the factory governs, and the discrepancy is set out in section 02.
Specifications by model year
This floorplan has a verified factory record for 3 model years here, 2025 to 2027, and the specification does not hold still. Across those years dry weight ranges from 4,660 lb in 2026 to 4,840 lb in 2027, a spread of 180 lb; dry tongue weight ranges from 470 lb in 2026 to 520 lb in 2027, a spread of 50 lb. That is why each model year has its own page below, carrying only its own published figures. Nothing on a year page is copied across from a neighbouring year.
| Model year | Dry (UVW) | GVWR | Cargo (CCC) | Dry tongue | Sleeps | Tire size |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2025 | 4,810 | 6,500 | 1,690 | 490 | 2 | ST205/75R14'D' |
| 2026 | 4,660 | 6,500 | 1,840 | 470 | 2 | ST205/75R14'D' |
| 2027 | 4,840 | 6,500 | 1,660 | 520 | 2 | ST205/75R14'D' |
Every row is that model year’s own record from Jayco’s model page for that year. The figures in the tow-critical placard at the top of this page are the 2027 record from the source this catalogue originally profiled. On the weights, overall length and tire size, that record and Jayco’s own 2027 model page agree on every field both of them publish. Exterior height is not compared: Jayco publishes a bare height, a with-A/C height and a with-2nd-A/C height, and the single height row carried here cannot be matched to one of them, so no claim is made either way.

03 Jay Flight floorplan family
All 30 MY2027 Jay Flight floorplans, ordered lightest to heaviest by published dry weight. Jayco markets 2027 as the line's 25th-anniversary year. Floorplans whose code ends in W are built at Jayco's western plant and carry their own published figures — they are not duplicates of the eastern build.

Layout descriptions are decoded from Jayco's own floorplan-code suffixes (BH bunkhouse, MB Murphy bed, RLS rear living, QB queen bed, TBS two-bedroom slide, and so on). They describe the code, not a measured interior: this site publishes no interior dimensions for this line and therefore no floorplan diagrams.
04 Reading these numbers
Cargo capacity in context
GVWR minus dry weight is 1,660 lbs on this plan, 26% of the loaded rating. Across the 30 MY2027 floorplans that share the line, the same figure runs from 18% to 29%. Dry weight is a base-unit number: options, batteries and a full propane bottle all come out of the cargo figure, not the dry one.
Axle count — aggregator data corrected
The RVUSA structured spec block lists one axle for this floorplan. Jayco's own factory page for the 200MKSW lists it as a 2-axle unit, and its mandatory equipment package is the double-axle package. Factory data outranks aggregator data here, so this page publishes 2. The discrepancy is recorded rather than quietly dropped: anyone cross-checking against that aggregator will see one axle and should not trust it on this line.
Eastern and western builds differ
Jayco builds this floorplan at two plants and publishes separate figures for each. The 200MKSW is 125 lbs lighter dry than the 200MKS (4,840 vs 4,965), and the fresh tank differs too (76 gal vs 52 gal). Neither number is a typo for the other — check which build a given unit is.
What this page does not publish
Tongue weight, tire size and axle count on this page come from Jayco’s own factory page for this floorplan, not from the aggregator record behind the rest of the table — RVUSA publishes hitch type only, which is "Bumper Pull" on all 30 MY2027 floorplans, and no tire size at all. Interior room-by-room dimensions are still not published by either source, which is why this page carries no floorplan diagram.
05 How it compares
4,750 lbs dry against this plan's 4,840, 29' 5" of length, sleeps 8, from $29,406. The nearest lighter floorplan in the MY2027 line.
4,905 lbs dry, 6,800 lbs GVWR, sleeps 10, from $31,281. The nearest heavier floorplan — 65 lbs more trailer than this one.
The same floorplan from Jayco's other plant: 4,965 lbs dry, 6,500 lbs GVWR, 52 gal fresh, from $32,993.
06 Loading it for a trip
A full 76-gallon fresh tank is about 634 lb of water (water counts as cargo: 49 CFR 571.110 S9.3.2), 38% of the Jay Flight 200MKSW’s 1,660 lb cargo capacity, leaving 1,026 lb (513 lb per rated berth). Across 117 Jay Flight floorplans the water share runs 13% to 47%, and 7 give up more than this one. Nearest on that share: Jay Flight 240RBSW at 38% and Jay Flight 265RLSW at 39%. Your own unit’s figure is on the label inside its entry door (49 CFR 571.110 S9.3.3).
07 Where this floorplan sits
Closest sibling: the Jay Flight 200MKS, nearest on the published figures. It differs on 6 of the 9 fields both publish (this plan first): dry weight 4,840 lb vs 4,965 lb; cargo capacity 1,660 lb vs 1,535 lb; dry hitch weight 520 lb vs 550 lb; fresh tank 76 gal vs 52 gal; grey tank 40 gal vs 39 gal; black tank 40 gal vs 39 gal. They match on length, sleeps and GVWR.

11 NHTSA safety record
NHTSA holds 25 recall campaigns and 80 owner complaints against the Jay Flight line. They are counted separately: a recall is a confirmed defect with a remedy, a complaint one owner’s unverified account.
What to look at on a used one. Across the 80 complaints filed on this line the most-reported components are equipment (42%), unknown or other (12%) and structure (11%).
Recall coverage here is not complete, and complaints are owners’ unverified reports (how this record is built). Check a specific VIN at NHTSA before you buy. Full tables are on the Jay Flight line page.
