01 What makes it unique

The Jay Flight 210QB is the 24th-lightest of the 56 MY2027 Jay Flight floorplans this site carries from Jayco’s own 2027 model pages, with 23 plans below it and 32 above. Its 4,275 lbs dry and 6,000 lbs GVWR leave 1,725 lbs of cargo capacity — 29% of the loaded rating, which is the figure that actually decides what you can put in it.

Fresh water is the load most owners forget to count. The 52 gallon fresh tank weighs about 432 lbs full, which is 25% of this plan's 1,725 lbs of cargo capacity before a single bag goes in. Grey and black hold 39 and 39 gallons. Travelling with full fresh and empty waste tanks is the arrangement that leaves the most room for everything else.

It runs two axles. Jayco's own factory page for this floorplan settles that; the aggregator spec block reports one axle for it, which the factory contradicts. Where the two disagree the factory governs, and the discrepancy is set out in section 02.

How the 210QB differs from the other 122 Jay Flight floorplans. Most distinctive first. Sibling pages may cover other model years than this one (2024–2027). How these ranks are worked out.

  • Cargo capacity as a share of GVWR, 28.8%: fourteenth-largest of 123, between the 210QBW (28.7%) and the 175BHW and 175FQW (29.1%).
  • Dry tongue weight, 450 lb: 24th-lightest of 122, between the 172DBW and 180LKW (415 lb) and the 250BH (460 lb).
  • Dry tongue weight as a share of dry weight, 10.5%: shared with the 225MLS and 32BHDS; of 122, twenty smaller and 99 larger, nearest the 140TB, 175BH and two others (10.4%) and the 130BHW and 175BHW (10.6%).
  • Dry weight, 4,275 lb: 31st-lightest of 123, between the 211MBW (4,265 lb) and the 212QB (4,335 lb).
  • GVWR, 6,000 lb: shared with the 212QBW, 250BH and 250BHW; of 123, 29 lower and 90 higher, nearest the 224BH (5,850 lb) and the 224BHW (6,100 lb).
  • Length, 25 ft 8 in: shared with the 210QBW, 212QB and 212QBW; of 123, 31 shorter and 88 longer, nearest the 21QB (25 ft 6 in) and the 230FBS (25 ft 10 in).
  • Exterior height, 10 ft 6 in: shared with the 235MBHW, 240RBSW and three others; of 109, 60 lower and 43 taller, nearest the 211MBW, 240RBS and eleven others (10 ft 5 in) and the 270MKS, 280BHK and four others (10 ft 7 in).
  • Sleeping capacity, 6: shared with the 170BH, 172DB and sixteen others; of 110, 37 smaller and 54 larger, nearest the 174BH, 212QB and four others (5) and the 38BHDS, 402DLFT and 40DLFT (7).
  • Cargo capacity, 1,725 lb: 61st-largest of 123, between the 331BTS (1,720 lb) and the 230FBS (1,735 lb).
  • Grey tank, 39 gal: shared with the 140TB, 172DB and 48 others; of 118, 27 smaller and 40 larger, nearest the 21QB (33 gal) and the 130RDW, 172DBW and seventeen others (40 gal).
  • Fresh tank, 52 gal: shared with the 200MKS, 212QB and 47 others; of 123, 31 smaller and 42 larger, nearest the 40LOFT (51 gal) and the 40FKDS (53 gal).

Next to the 211MBW, the nearest lighter floorplan by dry weight, the 210QB is 10 lb heavier by dry weight, has a GVWR 300 lb lower, has 310 lb less cargo capacity, has a dry tongue weight 90 lb lighter, is 1 ft 2 in longer, stands 1 in taller, has a fresh tank 32 gal smaller, has a grey tank 1 gal smaller, has a black tank 1 gal smaller and sleeps two fewer; the two publish the same interior height.

Next to the 212QB (2022–2024 page), the nearest heavier floorplan by dry weight, the 210QB is 60 lb lighter by dry weight, has a GVWR 500 lb higher, has 560 lb more cargo capacity, has a dry tongue weight 85 lb lighter, stands 7 in taller and sleeps one more; the two publish the same length, interior height, fresh tank, grey tank and black tank.

Specifications by model year

This floorplan has a published factory record for 4 model years here, 2024 to 2027. The specification does not hold still: dry weight runs from 4,195 lb (2024) to 4,275 lb (2027); dry tongue weight runs from 450 lb (2027) to 520 lb (2025). The published sleeping capacity changes across the years: Withheld — two Jayco documents disagree in 2024, up to 6 in 2025, up to 4 in 2026, up to 6 in 2027. Each year’s complete record is printed separately below, carrying only that year’s own published figures and source. Nothing is copied across from a neighbouring year.

Every row is that model year’s own record from Jayco’s model page for that year. Jayco titles its 2024, 2025 and 2026 model pages for this floorplan Jay Flight SLX 210QB. For 2024 Jayco printed this floorplan in two documents that disagree on a field; a cell reading “Withheld” is one of those, neither figure is chosen, and the notes on this page set out both, each under the document that printed it. The figures in the tow-critical placard at the top of this page are the 2027 record from the source this catalogue originally profiled. On the weights, overall length and tire size, that record and Jayco’s own 2027 model page agree on every field both of them publish. Exterior height is not compared: Jayco publishes a bare height, a with-A/C height and a with-2nd-A/C height, and the single height row carried here cannot be matched to one of them, so no claim is made either way.

2024: two Jayco documents, 2 disagreements

Jayco published the 210QB for 2024 in two documents, its 2024 Jay Flight SLX model page and its 2024 Jay Flight SLX brochure, and they print 2 fields differently: GVWR: the 2024 Jay Flight SLX model page prints 6,000 lb, the 2024 Jay Flight SLX brochure prints 5,500 lb; Sleeps: the 2024 Jay Flight SLX model page prints up to 6, the 2024 Jay Flight SLX brochure prints 3-5. Neither figure is chosen, so the row above reads “Withheld” there. The 2024 page sets out both, and every figure the two print the same. The weight label on the trailer governs — read it, and weigh the loaded trailer, before towing.

What changed for the 2024 model year

2024 is the earliest model year of the 210QB on this site, so there is no earlier record to set it against. Section 01 compares it with 2025.

Source for 2024. Specifications reflect the 2024 model year as published by Jayco on its own 2024 Jay Flight SLX model page and its own 2024 Jay Flight SLX brochure, and are dry factory figures for a base unit. Options, dealer-installed equipment and cargo all add weight. A travel trailer puts its tongue load on the tow vehicle's hitch and through its rear axle, so the loaded tongue must be checked against the receiver's rating and the vehicle's payload, not against its tow rating. Receiver hitch rating needed6,000 lb towed / 900 lb tongue
Payload check. Budget loaded, not dry: subtract the loaded range, every passenger, the bed and cab load and a weight-distributing hitch from the payload on your tow vehicle’s door-pillar placard (49 CFR 571.110 S4.3).

Check your vehicle. Enter the ratings from your owner’s manual and the door-pillar placard.

Compares your figures with this page’s published GVWR (6,000 lb) and the upper loaded tongue estimate (900 lb, a rule of thumb). Your vehicle’s placard and the trailer’s own weight label govern.

Loaded range: 10–15% of GVWR on the tongue, a rule of thumb, not a measurement of this unit. No truck ratings or hitch classes (why; NHTSA, DOT HS 809 433).

Layout descriptions are decoded from Jayco's own floorplan-code suffixes (BH bunkhouse, MB Murphy bed, RLS rear living, QB queen bed, TBS two-bedroom slide, and so on). They describe the code, not a measured interior: this site publishes no interior dimensions for this line and therefore no floorplan diagrams.

04 Reading these numbers

Cargo capacity in context

GVWR minus dry weight is 1,725 lbs on this plan, 29% of the loaded rating. Across the 56 MY2027 Jay Flight floorplans this site carries, the same figure runs from 18% to 38%. Dry weight is a base-unit number: options, batteries and a full propane bottle all come out of the cargo figure, not the dry one.

Jayco's own factory page for the 210QB lists it as a 2-axle unit, and its mandatory equipment package is the double-axle package. Factory data outranks aggregator data here, so this page publishes 2. The discrepancy is recorded rather than quietly dropped: anyone cross-checking against that aggregator will see one axle and should not trust it on this line.

Eastern and western builds differ

Jayco builds this floorplan at two plants and publishes separate figures for each. The 210QB is 145 lbs lighter dry than the 210QBW (4,275 vs 4,420), and the fresh tank differs too (52 gal vs 84 gal). Neither number is a typo for the other — check which build a given unit is.

The same floorplan under its pre-2027 name

Jayco sold this floorplan as the Jay Flight SLX 210QB through model year 2026 and has called the line Jay Flight from 2027 on. The 2026 row above is read from Jayco’s own page for the SLX-badged trailer, so it is this floorplan, not a different trailer. This site used to carry a separate Jay Flight SLX 210QB entry, built before the rename was measured, with the same 2026 factory record (4,260 lb dry); that address now leads to this page.

What this page does not publish

Every figure on this page is from Jayco’s own 2027 model page for this floorplan, tongue weight, tire size and axle count included. Jayco publishes no room-by-room interior dimensions, which is why this page carries no floorplan diagram.

Sources: Jayco’s own same-year floorplan pages, against which the weights, tanks, sleeping capacity, tire size, length and height were checked on 2 Nov 2026 where one is on file; Jayco’s product copy for the fresh-tank and axle rule.

11 NHTSA safety record

NHTSA holds 16 recall campaigns and 24 owner complaints (model years 2005 on) against the Jay Flight SLX line (a recall and a complaint are not the same thing).

What to look at on a used one. Across the 24 complaints filed on this line the most-reported components are equipment (33%), electrical system (17%) and fuel/propulsion system (17%).

Recall coverage here is not complete, and complaints are owners’ unverified reports (how this record is built). Check a specific VIN at NHTSA before you buy. Full tables are on the Jay Flight SLX line page.
